About CAT
The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification is ACCA's vocational, open-entry introduction to accounting.
The qualification gives you a solid foundation in finance and accounting and the necessary knowledge and technical skills to perform an accounting-support role to professional accountants.
On successful completion of the programme students will become an accredited ACCA Accounting Technician and may use the designation CAT (Certified Accounting Technician).

Anyone aged sixteen or over may register for this very flexible qualification that allows you to take control of how and where you study. The CAT qualification is highly regarded by employers worldwide and can lead to a challenging and rewarding career. If you wish to study further towards becoming a professionally-qualified accountant, completion of the CAT qualification gives you exemption from the first three papers of the ACCA qualification.
