Who We Are
International Business Training College (IBTC) is a registered tuition provider offering a combination of distance learning and classroom courses designed to prepare students for their professional examinations.
Operating from Cape Town since 1995, IBTC provides classroom courses in major cities around South Africa and a comprehensive Home Study programme supported by experienced international tutors.
All our courses include a complete set of internationally acclaimed study material which has been developed to ensure that students have maximum control over what they learn, the way they learn it, and the pace at which they work.
IBTC also works closely with a variety of professional institutions to support skills training and education. We believe in providing local students with access to international qualifications, bringing you closer to your professional goals and success in the workplace.

Tuition Options
Classroom Courses
Conducted in the evening with sessions of 3 hours (6pm to 9pm) and on Saturdays (9am to 12pm) at central venues in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. Our experienced professional lecturers use Power Point slides to illustrate concepts and theories. Classes are interactive and include personal assistance which facilitates an effective and enjoyable learning experience for students. Lecturers provide guidance on further study, question practice and exam technique via mock examinations.
Home Study
Cost effective alternative to our classes and includes study guidance and online tutor support for students studying on their own. This programme has been designed to provide students with a structured study plan and enables students to assess their progress.
Home Study with Revision Classes

IBTC offers you the opportunity to add 3 pre-exam revision-and-exam-technique classes to your Home Study (or Home Study Plus) course at a drastically reduced price. The classes are so effective because it focuses on one objective - passing the exam. Our revision classes provide you with a review of key syllabus areas, question practice with lecturer feedback to perfect your exam technique, and exam tips!

Where We Are
The IBTC head office, where all the admin takes place, is located conveniently in Cape Town city centre. There are classroom course venues in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. You can do home study, however, from anywhere in Southern Africa.

Kyle van der Boon
Most calls start with "Hi, can I speak to Kyle please." Beloved by most enquirers and students, Kyle is always ready to help, advise, listen, and lend a shoulder. Also known as 'the student's best friend', Kyle makes sure your queries are answered, you get your quotes and you feel part of the IBTC family. On top of that, Kyle makes beautiful brochures, signage, calendars, bags and keeps all brand rogues in line. A marketing genuis and a sales guru!
Georgie Wheeler
Mr George is our own Georgie who carefully guards IBTC biggest assets - our stock of BPP study material. Georgie will stop at nothing to make sure you get your study material on time. No ship too heavy and no flight too fast - our shelves are bursting with study material waiting to be despatched to you. Click click, ding dong. That's Georgie's work!
Charissa Byren
Charissa gets the credit when students applaud our pass rates and our admin services. She runs a tight ship in the academic department. Good quality lecturers at nice venues on the right date and on time ... even coffee and cookies - it's all to Charissa's credit. She relentlessly pursues one goal . . . and that's to make sure you pass! Better not skip classes, or she'll come fetch you at home. You dont' mess with Charissa's class pass rate!
Lucinda Smidt
Been good this year, then you won't get a call from Lucinda. But if you skipped payments, she might just give you a call. Lucinda makes sure we don't give away our courses for free, that there's enough money to pay our phone bill and buy cookies for class. Lucinda keeps the rest of us sane and well-grounded and ensures the key to the safe is locked away tightly (or else Kyle will spend it all on new brochures . . . )
Nikki Maritz
Nikki is there to add grease to the machine and make sure it runs properly. She brings pizza, cake and (never) makes coffee to keep the staff going.
