Accounting and Auditing Streams

Students can choose from two main streams, UK or International. Where the syllabus provides an option IBTC offers the international stream - this is indicated above by the annotation '(INT)'.

Professional Ethics Module

All students will be required to complete a two-hour, online ethics module before studying for Professional level exams. The module not only asks them to consider the implications of right and wrong conduct but also requires them to reflect on their own ethical outlook and personal values. This reinforces the core value of integrity which is at the heart of ACCA's mission. The module is not graded but must be completed by a student before applying for membership and ACCA recommends that it is best taken at the same time as, or before, sitting the P1 Professional Accountant paper.

International Accounting Standards

ACCA was the first professional body to offer examinations based on international accounting standards (IAS), providing truly global, transferable skills that are in high demand by employers in all sectors.
