Learnership
Financial support for studying with ICB
What is an ICB Learnership?
If you are currently in employment, you may be eligible for financial support from your employer via an ICB learnership e.g. National Diploma: Technical Financial Accountant Learnership (NQF 5). The ICB learnership programme is a government-backed initiative designed to incentivise employers to implement professional skills and education training within their organisation and is a way for employees to achieve their ICB qualifications through a combination of theory and practice.
The scheme is driven by Fasset (http://www.fasset.org.za/) which is the Seta related to the finance, management and accounting sector. Once the learner has been assessed competent in both the theory and practical component of the learnership, the ICB will advise Fasset that the learnership has been completed and the learner will be awarded the relevant qualification.
How can it benefit me or my employer?
In return for incorporating the learnership programme into their Work Skills Plan (WSP) employers receive a number of financial benefits related to each employee that embarks on their ICB studies with the company.
Where can I find out more?
