Certificate Level

The CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting offers an entry route to the CIMA Professional Qualification, and has direct links to the three learning pillars on which the Professional Qualification is based. Alternatively the Certificate in Business Accounting can be completed as a stand-alone qualification, providing students with foundational knowledge of the essential elements of finance.


When studying a CIMA course, your fees are typically split between the institute (CIMA) and the tuition provider (IBTC).

Institute fees include the following:

  • Registration fee
  • Annual subscription fee
  • Exemptions fees (if applicable)
  • Exam fees


Tuition provider fees include the following:

  • Study material
  • Classes (if applicable)
  • Tutor support


Please note that IBTC tuition fees do not include CIMA institute fees. You must ensure that you pay your CIMA fees in full either directly to CIMA (through your MyCIMA account) or by adding it to your IBTC invoice to be eligible to write any exams.
