There are two accelerated entry routes for members of professional bodies:
Management Gateway Exam
With a SAIPA membership or MBA you can apply to enter the CIMA qualification at management level by attempting the Management Case Study Exam (also called the CIMA Gateway Exam). This exam will test your application based on the content from the management level papers E2, P2 and F2.
SAICA Gateway Exam
SAICA members can enter the CIMA qualification at strategic level and have to sit the Strategic Case Study Exam. Depending on the experience, you may also need to pass the E3 (strategic management). The Strategic Case Study exam will test your application based on the content from the strategic level papers E3, P3 and F3.
To enter for any CIMA exam you must be a CIMA student with a valid CIMA contact ID.
Students must have registered with CIMA through the Master's gateway or Professional gateway on the CIMA website when registering as a student.
You may only enter the CGA route if you have been awarded exemptions through this route.
